Soiled right?

I have been taking this class called “The Local Church in Evangelism,” and it was a fun class.  What I would like to pull out of it, and share with you are the 3 unproductive soils in life.  Yes, I am pulling out of Jesus ministry, and His “Parable of the Sower.”  I won’t share all the details I got, but I would like to mention the three unhealthy/unproductive soils.
They all can be summed up in this way. The hard ground produced no response. The shallow ground provided no root. The thorny ground allowed no room.
The “Hard Ground” is not prepared to receive the seed.  Then results when you plant the seed is that the birds will take it away before the seed has any chance to really grow.  Alright now what was Jesus comparing that to? Well in all simplicity, the message that is misunderstood, and is then easily snatched away by the evil.
The “Shallow Ground” is not prepared to withstand the struggles it is about to face.  So, if we have our root in our faith and in the truth that the Bible teaches, nothing can break us from our roots, because our roots go deep within the soil.  It sums it all up in 1 Peter 5:10, “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by mean of Christ Jesus.  So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”
The “Thorny Ground” is not prepared for the cost of being a disciple of Christ.  This is a tragic one, because the everything grows right, but the weeds grow fast than the actual plant itself, and takes the life away of the plant.  So, People have experienced the transformation of Christ, but somehow gets neglected in the continual watering and cultivating of a believers life.  As it says in 1 Peter 5:9, “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith.  Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.”  Remember that the blood of Jesus washed away your sins, and you are covered by the blood now.  So whom shall I fear except the Creator Himself.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
